Through a collaborative partnership between the Illinois Department of Corrections and the Illinois Capital Development Board, the State is advancing a comprehensive plan to develop two new purpose-built correctional facilities.

Supporting rehabilitation through education, programming, healthcare, and opportunities for personal growth.
Modern Infrastructure
Addressing critical infrastructure needs through facilities designed for long-term operational effectiveness and sustainability.
Community Engagement
Fostering transparency, diversity, inclusion, and meaningful stakeholder engagement throughout the project.
